Sick and tired of being sick and tired
Isn't it bad enough that all the children in the house get sick at once? Isn't it bad enough that there are two very pissed off little humans needing extra affection, juice and Tylenol? Why is it that as I cuddle my little ones that my head is pounding, I feel like my stomach has been turned inside out and even with two extra bodies and two extra blankets I still feel like I'm taking an ice bath? To sum it all up- This Sucks.

Conversing with a baby
"Wes, come over here. Let's take off your coat."
"No! Nooo! Oh No!"
"Wes, come here please"
"NOOOOOO!"
"Wes, Now!"
"Oh No! Oh No! Nooooooo!" (pause) then very quietly..."no"

And Again
We survived last night. 8 kids under 7 years old, 1 very big Costco cake and presents create absolute chaos. It was so fun to watch Cam enjoy having people over just for him, he looked so proud every time he said " It's MY Birthday". The kid even thanked everyone for coming and walked them to the door when it was time to leave. What other 3 year old would do that?
Doug (Husband) was beside himself with the cuteness of it all. I think he took at least 200 pictures. They are being edited as I type so I will share them soon.
For those of you in the Salt Lake Valley, we are used to snow right? But, Damn! Last night it must have dropped 6-8 inches in the West Bench. And of course our HOA didn't bother to have the streets plowed. I think I took out 2 homes and a snowman on my way out of the neighborhood. I don't know why I thought this HOA would actually do what it promised. Has anyone ever had a HOA do exactly what they said they would, right when they said they would? Well I'm sure they foreclose promptly if you don't pay them. Now that is efficiency.

Let me explain...
No, Im not crazy. Okay yes I am, but that has nothing to do with the name. Smunchie is the nickname of one of my son's. The other is Munchie. Real names: Cameron and Wes. Today is Camerons' (Smunchie's) birthday. He is 3 going on 45. All day long I have heard things like: Mommy, did you buy the cake? Mommy, remember my presents? Mommy! Don't forget Wes! The last comment was when I put Cam in his car seat first instead of Wes. I think Cam thought I was leaving Wes at Costco. Which although I may be tempted I would never.
Wes is 16 months old. He knows what he wants. Let me say this again: He Knows What He Wants. He has this scream that could break glass and he uses it when he needs something now. Just ask anyone in Costco today. They all heard it.
Now before any more complaints, stories, venting, etc. let me tell you yes I do love being a mother. I absolutely love it. I also believe I don't have to be just Mom. I am a Realtor ( who isn't these days?) and a Writer and a Wife. I live in Utah with my amazing family and yes I was raised Mormon, no I'm not anymore, no I'm not a polygamist and no I don't have horns. So bear with me, I may cry, bitch, whine and moan but in the end, I'm just me. And it's all good.
